Tape Conversion formats

 1/2" 9-track open reel tape
Found on mainframe, midrange, VAX/VMS,  and Unix. They come in 800, 1600, 3200, 6250 bpi densities. 

  
 3480/3490E/3590 cartridges
Used mostly on mainframe and midrange computers. Capacities range from 200MB for 3480, to 20GB for 3590B. We can handle 3480, 3480 compressed, 3490, 3490E, 3590B, and 3590E cartridges.
  
 3570 Magstar cartridges
(3570 Models B and C).
Developed by IBM, 3570 cartridge can hold 7GB/15GB (compressed).
  
 8mm DAT cartridges

 

112m, 160m, AIT.
8mm DAT tape can hold from 2.3GB to 80GB of information. The capacity depends on the media length and type of the drive used. We support all 8mm formats including Cybernetics.
  
 4mm DAT cartridges
4mm DAT tape can store from 1.3GB to 40GB worth of data. The capacity depends on tape length and generation of a drive used. All 4mm formats are supported by ITC.
  
 PDP-11/VAX TK tape cartridges
TK-25, TK-50, TK-70, TK-85, TK-88.TK-25 is a QIC format tape and is used with DEC equipment. Other TK formats have same form factor as more modern DLT tapes.
  
 DLT cartridges
DLT II (2.6GB), DLT III(10/20GB), DLT IV(20/40, 35/70, 40/80GB), SuperDLT(110/220GB).
Medium to high capacity media used on all operating systems. Maximum capacity of the DLT IV cartridge is 80GB compressed when used with Quantum DLT 8000 drive. SuperDLT media can hold up to 220 GB compressed.
  
 1/4" QIC minicartridges
DC2000/DC3000 type cartridges (Including QIC-Wide).
Used mostly for personal computers, mini-cartridges are inexpensive media that can store 20 to 1400MB of data. ITC can read both Ximat and Rhomat (Irwin accutrack) formats.
  
 Travan cartridges
TR-1, TR-3, TR-4, TR-20.
Descendant of mini-cartridge format can hold from 400MB to 20BG worth of data.
  
 Ultrium LTO cartridges
Recently introduced new tape format capable of storing up to 200GB of compressed data (100GB Uncompressed).

ITC is pleased to announce it new Check Binarization Conversion services.

The process allows banks and other financial institutions that need to store check images to greatly reduce the resources necessary to perform this function. Typically binarization reduces storage requirements by up to 85% while preserving the data integrity.
